Ordering Policy
How to order custom cakes?
I prefer a MINIMUM ONE WEEK NOTIFICATION to complete your custom cake, however, a last minute cake could be done depending on the design complexity. Please have an idea of how many servings, theme, colors, and any specific design ideas you have. The total price of your cake depends on the following: number of servings, the complexity of the design, delivery and set up time at the venue (if applicable).
Ordering and payment
I accept cash or credit card. All of my cakes are custom-made and decorated to order. Since each item is one-of-a-kind, my cake prices are based on the ingredients used and time required for assembly and decoration.
Full payment is due at the time of order. An invoice will be sent to you via email for the entire amount. Payment MUST be received by the due date listed on the invoice. Once payment is received, your cake is considered "Ordered." If payment is not received by the due date, a message will be sent stating that your order has been cancelled.
Cake prices DO NOT include delivery fee. No order is final until I get all the information I need for the custom order.
Changes, Cancellations, and Refunds
I require FOUR days notice for ALL changes. No change to size, flavor or decoration can be made after this time. I am happy to ADD to your order in the event that you need to serve more guests. Refunds WILL NOT be made for cancellations of any kind, but will be applied to your order as a CREDIT, IF and ONLY IF you have given me the required notice! If less than 4 days, your payment will be kept, and upon reorder, you will be required to pay the full payment for your new order.
LAST MINUTE ORDERS - Last minute orders (3 days or less from pickup date) are FINAL when placed and cannot be changed. These orders are subject to a RUSH FEE. This fee is added to your total cost, based on the size of your cake or order. Payment is due the day your order is placed via an invoice that will be sent to your email address.
CANCELLATIONS - I require 4 days notice to cancel an order. As previously stated, your payment will be applied as a credit to your next order at my discretion.
REFUNDS - Due to tedious, handcrafted nature of custom creations, and the purchase of ingredients in advance, I am unable to provide refunds.
ARTISTIC LICENSE DISCLAIMER - I promise to do my best to provide the best tasting and best looking cakes and bakery items around. Custom orders are created with love by me just for you! You may provide a photograph for inspiration and duplication, but please keep in mind that I make no claims to be exact. This includes school/college colors!
TRANSPORTING - Once an item has been picked up by you or your designated party, and leaves my premises, it is considered "Accepted." You are responsible for transporting your order home safely, and I am not responsible once an order leaves my premises. Cakes should be transported on the floor board of the vehicle so that they are level.
